Twin Lakes is one of Santa Cruz's most popular beaches.

Twin Lakes is beloved by both tourists and locals for its incredible beauty, diversity and proximity to the harbor and the popular Crow’s Nest.

A beach party is held on the north end on Thursday evenings in the summer, and the fire pits around the cove are often filled with sun-kissed families and friends during the day.

At the southern end is a little cove ideal for body surfing, although you could skim, boogie board or surf your way up and down the beach on a good day.

Or, if you’re feeling a little less active, you can just lay out and watch sailboats meandering out of the Santa Cruz Harbor.
