Description

Santa Cruz in Song and Image is an apt title and description for the multi-media collaboration by acoustic guitarist Brian Gore and renowned illustrator Bill Russell. Known as a “poet of the guitar,” Brian Gore’s uniquely expressive style combines elements of folk, jazz and classical music. His compositions have storylines that take the listener on spellbinding rides through a range and depth of moods. This unique project is a love letter to Santa Cruz, a feast for the eyes, as well as the ears, featuring Bill Russell's impressionistic watercolor paintings (projected on screen) of the area's rich natural beauty, from the mountain redwoods to the ocean beaches, including many landmarks.
