Description

The sound of Cascada de Flores echoes the golden radio age of Latin America, where jazzy bolero and earthy traditions from the countryside were joyously juxtaposed. Cascada de Flores’ celebrated vocal duet is comprised of the unique voices of Arwen Lawrence and Sabra Weber. They are accompanied by Jorge Liceaga (guitar & tres), who draws from his mixed heritage of Bibriesca, syncopated Yucatecan bolero and flamenco art tradition. Percussionist Brian Rice (bongó, cajón, pandeiro, snare) will join the group for some raucous ranchera!

The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival presents over 90 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry and children’s programs with artists from Africa, Colombia, Japan, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Spain, the Philippines, Sweden, China, Venezuela and the Bay Area.
