Dumpstaphunk returns to Moe's Alley for a wild night of amazing New Orleans funk at its finest. The band was formed in 2003 by keyboardist Ivan Neville on a whim to perform a solo slot at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. However, the band turned from a mere side project to one of the most prestigious modern funk ensembles. Dumpstaphunk draws influence from the music of The Meters and The Neville Brothers, but dishes it out with a unique modern twist. Since they first began playing together, they have performed at Bonnaroo, VoodooFest, 10,000 Lakes, New Orleans Jazzfest 2005-2011, Bear Creek, Wanee, High Sierra, and countless other high-profile music festivals.
