Teen Kitchen Project provides teens the opportunity to learn important life skills, while helping people when they are in need. "As a result of a bout with cancer my son experienced at the tender age of four, I was inspired to start a free healthy meal delivery program for families struggling with serious illness.” explains Angela Farley, Teen Kitchen Project’s founder. “At Teen Kitchen Project (TKP) we invite teens into a commercial kitchen to learn from professional chefs how to prepare healthy meals for their community, and in the process develop valuable lifelong skills. Clients served by TKP report they feel nourished and cared for during a challenging time. Since 2012, Teen Kitchen Project has delivered over 71,000 meals, and teens have served over 8,548 hours in the kitchen. The overwhelming majority of clients we serve have limited income and are further limited by physical disability. They cannot get to the store to shop, and do not have the energy to cook. Fundraising through community businesses like Artisans helps TKP serve clients for free during their struggle, offering them one less thing to worry about during a health crisis. "

Artisans is very excited to partner with Teen Kitchen Project and support a great organization that does so many great things. Artisans owner Linnaea Holgers James says, “ I have been watching Teen Kitchen Project from afar. I am so impressed by the effect they have on so many people, and the full circle nature of what they do-from teaching teens important skills like cooking and working together, to serving carefully prepared, healthy meals to people in times of need, and working with local businesses to secure food donations. I really hope you can join us!”
