Bill Monning on Health Care

On Saturday, September 28, from 10AM to Noon, at the Santa Cruz Police Community Room (155 Center Street), the Democratic Women’s Club will sponsor a talk by State Senator Bill Monning on the Health Care Plans of the Democratic Candidates for President.

He will compare their plans to Obama Care (the Affordable Care Act), the health plans currently available to residents of California, and, of course, share his own views on our health care crisis and how it should be addressed. Senator Monning, who represents the Central Coast of California, is an engaging public speaker and is well known for his passionate concerns about health care and social justice.

There will be some very brief Club business to handle before his talk and light refreshments will be served. Bill’s talk begins at 10:30. The event is free and open to the public.
