Book Talk: Joyce Oroz, Muralist & Mystery Author

Local mystery author Joyce Oroz will be the featured author at the Scotts Valley Library on Saturday, July 8 at 2 pm. She will talk about her life as a muralist-later-writer, and the downs and ups of living with dyslexia. Joyce Oroz writes about the things she loves: painting, animals, California, relationships, mystery, and adventure. Her books feature amateur sleuth Josephine Stuart, a Santa Cruz county-based muralist, who just happens to be painting nearby when crimes occur. Set in local neighborhoods and the backcountry of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the stories are great fun as Josephine plans her artworks, mixes her colors, and muddles through clues to discover who-dunnit.
