About CBCT-Cognitively Based Compassion Training

Cognitively Based Compassion Training ® is a 10-week secular ethics program in Compassion Training. Developed at Emory University and used in medical and educational institutions, this program has a background in Buddhist compassion practice, yet is grounded in sound neuroscience and psychology scientific research from Emory University.

CBCT® is non-religious so it applies to anyone of any walk of life! This class offers optional CEU’s for professionals.

CBCT® consists of : 1) learning theory & research on compassion, 2) guided practice of a series of structured & progressive contemplative exercises that are designed to deliberately and systematically cultivate genuine compassion for oneself and others, 3) homework and daily practice.
