Danjuma Adamu - King of AfroBeat

Danjuma Adamu, co-founder of two Bay Area Afro-beat bands, was born into a family tradition of music in Lagos, Nigeria. Danjuma has played and recorded with Hugh Masakela, King Sunny Ade, Fela Kuti Anikulapo, Babatunde Olatunji, ZuluSpear and other greats, and toured with the Nigerian All Stars.
Afrobeat is a combination of traditional West African Youruba music, jazz, funk, chanted vocals, percussion, and vocal styles.
