Digging Deeper

Tom Karwin’s talk with revolve around the rewards and challenges of organizing the garden around a theme or—more likely—a series of themes, the differences between themes and styles in landscape design, and will include an overview of relevant online resources. There will be an opportunity for participants to describe their own experiences with thematic garden planning. Tom is a lifetime Master Gardener (certified in 1999–2009), and garden writer with a weekly garden column for two newspapers in California's Monterey Bay area (2001 to present—sixteen years!).
