Oz Noy Trio featuring Dave Weckl and James Genus

Oz Noy kicked off his professional career at the age of thirteen, playing jazz, blues, pop, and rock music with many of the top musicians in his native Israel. By his mid twenties he was already one of the nation’s top studio guitarists. Together with longtime Allman Brothers’ Band member Oteil Burbridge and Steely Dan and Sting alum Keith Carlock, these three make a compelling trio. Noy’s latest release, Twisted Blues, Vol. 2 continues to mine the blues vein first explored in 2001’s Twisted Blues, Vol. 1. The music retains a solid delta base, but expands into the full spectrum of genres that the blues has influenced.
