About Santa Cruz Summer of Body Love

What does it mean to truly love and accept yourself? Self-love is a challenge in a world that is constantly trying to market an unattainable standard of beauty that devalues women and men, but it is is essential to our well-being, fulfillment, and pursuit of a full and happy life.

In collaboration with the Museum of Art and History, Summer of Body Love is an event taking place in Santa Cruz, California on Saturday, August 19th from 11AM-5PM at the newly remodeled museum space downtown. The goals of the event are to celebrate body diversity and to provide resources and information to the community.

The day will include a series of speakers, a screening of "Embrace the Documentary," as well as a fair with music, food and drink, local resources, an art show, interactive stations such as journal and flower crown making plus plenty of body positive apparel for sale.
