FREE Friday Night Bands on the Beach features top 40 bands from the late '70s, '80s, and early '90s during two FREE shows at 6:30 and 8:30pm at the beach bandstand.

In 1979, Mickey Thomas joined the Jefferson Starship as lead vocalist. With his powerful vocals and a new sound, the group was renamed Starship and continued to record amazing hits including "We Built this City," "Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now," and "Sara." The show will feature an expanded set list that includes the multi-platinum hits of Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, and Starship. Along with an expanded band and the addition of the beautiful and powerful female vocalist, Stephanie Calvert, they now deliver a show that includes all the hit songs and classics.

Concert Information and Etiquette
For the comfort and safety of all our guests, please note the following:

Access to the prime seating area begins at 4 p.m.
The line formed on the beach will be given first priority for access to the prime seating area.

Please limit blanket size to 3x5 feet per person, about the size of a beach towel.

Only low-back chairs are allowed; high-back chairs will be required to move to the back of the beach area. Please allow others space and a good view.

No blankets or chairs are permitted in the roped-off areas before 4 p.m.

Smoking is not permitted on the beach or Boardwalk.
Alcohol and glass are prohibited on the beach.

Recording of concerts is not allowed.

Please keep walkways and stairs clear; dancing permitted in front of the stage only.

Accommodations for guests with disabilities at the FREE Friday Night Bands on the Beach concerts are provided on a first-come, first-served basis in two locations. One section is reserved for guests who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. The other section is reserved for mobility-impaired guests plus one companion. If you require other special accommodations, please contact the Manager On Duty.
