About Tibetan New Year Ceremony

Sang (smoke) Offering Ceremony
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16th
10 am (2-3 hr)
with Geshe Dangsong Namgyal
Tibetan New year, or Losar, is one of the most important celebrations in the Tibetan calendar. The practice of Losar is for inviting positive energy for everyone and has its roots in the winter incense-burning festival of the Tibetan ancient religion we call Bön. This tradition is similar to the native traditions around the world. This ceremony invokes universal positivity, light and blessings from the Buddhas, God, deities, protectors, and all holy beings. It is therefore compatible with all spiritual traditions. This Sang or smoke offering is for healing of negative energies and clearing obstacles in the new year. All are welcomed!
