Tremolos Singing Group for People with Parkinson's Disease and their Caregivers

Many people with Parkinson's Disease suffer from weak (quiet) speech. Singing is known to be a good voice strengthening exercise for people with Parkinson's Disease. The Santa Cruz Tremolos Singing Group is an ongoing singing group for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers in Santa Cruz County.

Tremolos provides the Santa Cruz County Parkinson community a unique, ongoing opportunity to participate in a therapeutic and joyful singing experience. The beneficial side effects include easier breathing, improved posture & voice quality, and increased feelings of positive social engagement.

We are led by our director, Julie, along with piano accompaniment. We sing a mixture of musical styles, incorporating choral rounds, and call and response songs. No prior singing experience expected. All are welcome!
