About World's Shortest 4th of July Parade
The 0.6 mile parade means the city of Aptos (a town just east of Santa Cruz along the Pacific) will once again celebrate the 4th of July in mini-grand ole style.
Start your morning with the parade at 10 am followed by a Party in the Park in the Aptos Village Park from noon to 4 pm with food, vendors, music, and activities.
For a small coastal community, there are many 4th of July events occurring in Santa Cruz this year. There are Independence Day parades up and down the county, from Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains, to Watsonville in the south.
