On paper, Sonoma State University's jazz program might seem like a strange place for the roots of a reggae band to grow, but the musicians of Groundation prove otherwise. Formed in 1998, Groundation has been fusing reggae, jazz, Latin horns and soul into a mellow sound purely its own. Although it's had several line-up changes, the band's success continues to grow as it headlines music festivals throughout the world.
