Heidi Cramer, Book/Wire Sculpture

Heidi Cramer is an art student at UC Santa Cruz whose work focuses on mixed media art installations that reflect the urban environment of California. She works to recycle and re-appropriate materials into her artwork to reflect upon society and the ways in which we use our resources.
Come to the MAH on January 14, 11am-5pm, to see her interactive Book Sculpture entitled "History". This large-scale mixed media sculpture will represent the form of a nuclear bomb blast, made form pieces of recycled books and wire. Visitors are encouraged to help her in the arrangement and additions of book pages to the piece!
