Animal Services authorities in Santa Cruz are looking for a German pointer named Jack that bit a nine-year-old boy and charged the boy’s mother in Santa Cruz harbor yesterday. The dog, which was not on a leash, has a history of attacking people, and bit a parking attendant last year in Aptos during a Fourth of July parade. Although the boy is showing no serious injuries, authorities want to check the animal’s vaccination records too, to make sure that no diseases were passed on to the boy.
