The 50th anniversary of the Watsonville Fly-In & Airshow is on October 10-12 at the Watsonville Municipal Airport. The festivities start on Friday when spectators can watch the weekend’s star players, the aircraft, “fly-in” to the airport all day until 4:30pm. On Friday evening, the airshow hosts a traditional Spaghetti dinner followed by a special screening of the Disney movie Planes starting at 7pm.

The festivities really kick-off on Saturday with opening ceremonies starting at Noon. The weekend’s performances include airshow favorites, Vicki Benzing Aerosports and Dr. D’s Ole Time Aerobatics. The West Coast Ravens – Formation Flying Team, features custom-built experimental aircraft. The Warbirds will also do fly-bys and there will be helicopter and balloon rides, a classic and hi-performance car show, specialty and gourmet food and drink vendors, kids activities including bounce house and live music on Sunday.
