Description

The NY Gypsy All-Stars comes to Kuumbwa Jazz Center for an evening of diverse and eclectic music. Hailing from the depths of Manhattan's East Village, the New York Gypsy All-Stars combine musical virtuosity with the lush sounds of Macedonian, Greek, Turkish and American roots. This quintet of talented musicians utilize their keen sense of composition when exploiting their madcap relish for funky sounds. The NY Gypsy All-Stars features Ismail Lumanovski on clarinet, Tamer Pinarbasi on kanun, Engin Gunaydin on drums, Panagiotis Andreou on electric bass and Jason Lindner on keyboards.
