About Outdoor Science Exploration and Classroom Science Fun
Our award winning Santa Cruz nonprofit teaches science basics and instills an interest in science with fun & active learning. Surprisingly advanced lessons are effectively interpreted & taught with careful attention to intrinsic social interactions.
We use active learning to teach a fascinating array of activities in physics and chemistry with earth, nature and life sciences. As a 501c3 nonprofit, this 19 year old independent bold organization chose high standards as a guiding force. This allowed us to realize that students can learn a great deal more and faster than traditional education settings accommodate. Students thrive in this popular and exemplary program of higher standards, positive reinforcement and carefully guided social dynamics. Every year there are 150+ school classes for grades 2-10 including afterschool programs. And each summer there are 5-7 weeks of local field trips to parks and beaches for ages 7-14, PLUS a week in Yosemite of genuine backpacking for ages 12-17.
