The UCSC Music Department is proud to bring you an Indian Classical Concert with Rajeev Taranath as he performs on the sarod. Rajeev Taranath is an internationally acclaimed performer and award-winning composer, and is regarded as one of the world's leading exponents of the sarod. His performances fuse the depth of Hindustani classical music with inspired imagination and emotional intensity. In addition, Rajeev is a recipient of the Indian Government's highest award in the arts, the Sangeet Natak Academi Award for 1999-2000, in recognition of his achievement in the field of Hindustani Instrumental music.More Info
