Jazz fusion guitarist and pianist Stanley Jordan, who began his career under the tutelage of Paul Lanskey and Milton Babbit at Princeton in the early '80s, counts Billy Carter and Dizzy Gillespie as jam buddies. His dynamic and imaginative compositions and covers of everything from classical masterpieces to modern pop hits have earned him critical acclaim while fellow musicians clamor to collaborate with him. But it's his innovative two-hand tapping guitar-playing technique, which allows him to play both melody and chords simultaneously, that has solidified Jordan's place as a true virtuoso.
