About An Evening with The Grateful Meds + Fundraiser
FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE MUSIC + FUNDRAISER!
Through the end of summer, we are bringing live music to Friday nights - starting this Friday with The Grateful Meds, which includes a fundraiser for NextStage and Watsonville Taiko's local project: Taiko for PwP (People with Parkinson's).
THE GRATEFUL MEDS
Ellen and Glen (aka The Grateful Meds) have been performing music for many years in the LA area and now in the Monterey Bay Area whether with the family band or just as a duo. Their musical repertoire covers many genres, but they focus primarily on songs that tell a story. Whether it is traveling with Bobby McGee, being tempted by The Preacher's Son, hanging with Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown, guessing what Billy Joe threw off the Talahachi Bridge, or Swinging with the Sultans, Ellen and Glen are there!
FUNDRAISER
This Friday's live music event will also serve as a fundraiser for a wonderful cause. NextStage, in collaboration with EASE PD (Exercise, Activity, Support, Education for People Living with Parkinson’s) and Watsonville Taiko, have created a pilot program specifically geared to the needs of people living with Parkinson’s. This program, developed with love, determination and hope, has proven to be a wonderful success at bringing exercise, socialization, improved vocalization and range of emotion, along with fun for all participants. We are thrilled to support NextStage and Watsonville Taiko present Taiko for PwP (People with Parkinson's)!
