About California Coastal Cleanup at Upper Carr Lake!

September 17th is a National Day of Service - Coastal Cleanup Day. Volunteers throughout California, and around the world, will be cleaning up beaches, lakes, and waterways! We will be working in partnership with Save Our Shores and volunteers to make a difference!

Return of the Natives will be stopping water pollution at an inland source in Salinas - we need volunteers to help clean up Upper Carr Lake! Last year we collected 1.265 pounds of trash on Coastal Cleanup Day - that's a lot of pollution NOT flowing into our Bay.

R.O.N. events are a great way to learn more about where you live, meet new people, get community service hours, and help protect our clean water supply and natural habitat. This is a great family activity that is FREE. Tools, water and great snacks provided for this special event!

We'll see you out there!
