About Deathwalker Training

Death is the natural and sacred end of life – one certainty that every human being will experience, yet something we are often unfamiliar with. A Deathwalker is someone who can walk towards death for themselves or others with skill and compassion. Whether it is your own transition, or for one whom you love, there are enlivening ways to meet this moment with empowerment and creativity.

The Training is over 3 days and covers the whole spectrum including illness, dying & death, sudden death, body care, disposal, ceremony into bereavement and loss. The information and experiences provided are a hybrid of old and new ways of being present, and are real and beneficial at a challenging time.

The 3-day Deathwalker training will be followed by a 1-day Funeral Master Class that is complimentary to the Deathwalker Trainings. This presentation is especially appropriate for Celebrants and offers deeper insight into structure, content, and healing approaches for Ceremonies involving more complex deaths.

Both of these trainings are available and appropriate for everyone – for your own personal journey, a family member or friend, or to increase professional skills. If you feel you have a calling for this work, you will find these trainings life changing.

By nurturing, enhancing, and strengthening your inherent capacity and gaining legal and practical knowledge and skills, any concerns or fears can be transformed. This allows you and others to make preferred and informed choices during the various stages of the death and dying process.

Zenith Virago is a leader in this field and has pioneered the concept of empowered continual care at end of life. As a professional Deathwalker for over 20 years, she brings integrity, experience and wisdom. The NDCC is a registered charity and works for education, authenticity and empowerment in death, dying, and loss.

This event is being held in a beautiful private residence in Scotts Valley. It is limited to 12 participants and is sure to be a special and transformational journey.
