About Eat Your Bouquet Workshop
This workshop will introduce you to to all of the delightful and edible herbs and flowers, some of which might already be growing in your garden. We will teach attendees how to capture the flavors of flowers and herbs in jams, infusions, syrups, and more.
This event will start with a tour of the Birdsong Orchard flower gardens, introducing many edible flowers and discussing how to plant and grow many edible delights that thrive in this climate. We will wander the rose gardens, the herb beds and a bit of the orchard to see what can be harvested and eaten.
The tour will be followed by a quick demo of some easy and edible concoctions that can be be made from edible flower and herbs. Then, we will provide buckets of precut herbs and flowers along with a glass vase so that each participant can make a bouquet to take home to eat or preserve as a single syrup or other dish.
Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
Please bring a water bottle, sturdy shoes, sun protection, and your own pair or garden shears or snips.
