About Genetics, Genomics, and UCSC
The UCSC Women's Club's November meeting will feature Dr. Robert Kuhn, who will discuss the Human Genome Project, including the history of the contribution made by scientists at UCSC, the state of current science and prospects for the future, including diagnostics and treatments. As technology advances and DNA sequencing becomes more affordable, the flood of data offers unprecedented opportunities and challenges.
The Women's Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month from October through May, 11:30 am to 1:00PM. These general membership meetings typically feature a speaker or program, as well as light snacks. Our meetings are open to members and guests.
