This is the annual PVA (Pajaro Valley Arts) members only exhibit. In this all-media show, we asked members to explore works that illuminate and enrich their concept of Home. Home is often defined as a place, a space, a myth, a source of identity, a promised land, a state of being, a war zone, an impossibility, and/or an inalienable right.

This simple word is open to a wide variety of interpretations: security, belonging, memory, comfort, dread, alienation, or pain. Home both defines and is defined by geography and history, identities and ideologies, imagined and lived experiences. Artwork might explore what it means to create a home or to be without a home, what happens when we leave a home and arrive in a new place, or how our experiences affect the idea of Home.
