About Kinship Center Toy Drive Locations, Hosted by MCRFD

The Monterey County Regional Fire District (MCRFD) is hosting its 15th consecutive toy drive for Salinas-based nonprofit Kinship Center, a nonprofit specializing in adoption and foster care for local children and families. Toy drop-off bins are located at MCRFD’s Toro, Chualar, Laureles, East Garrison, Village and Mid Valley stations.

For a list of locations and addresses, visit www.kinshipcenter.org or call (831) 455-9965. MCRFD will be accepting toys until Dec. 24.

The toys are given to Kinship Center children at the annual Kinship Center family holiday party, preceded by a fire safety skit performed by MCRFD staff. The party includes games, refreshments, pictures with Santa and the distribution of toys collected during the MCRFD toy drive.

“MCRFD wanted to partner with an agency that was located within our Fire District. We chose Kinship Center because we wanted to help an agency who helps others. We are proud to serve our community and hope to continue our partnership with Kinship Center into the future,” Justin Reyes, MCRFD Captain and head of the Kinship Center toy drive, said.
