About Labside Chats: A Conversation with a Scientist, featuring Carl Lamborg, Ph.D.

Tune in for the Seymour Center's next Labside Chat with Carl Lamborg, associate professor of Ocean Sciences at UC Santa Cruz, on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at 11:00 AM PST. Join us to better understand how mercury plays a role in the ocean, in the air, and within all living things.

Join the conversation! Submit your questions in advance for Carl, then watch the conversation to hear the answers during the live chat. Help us put together questions such as:

• What is mercury, and is it considered a marine contaminant?
• How does mercury move through the ecosystem and bioaccumulate in animals?
• Is mercury present in all ecosystems and at all ocean depths?
• How is mercury collected from the ocean and then analyzed?

Visit the Seymour Center's website to submit your questions in advance for each scientist and to watch the livestreamed conversation:

Labside Chats are live streamed the second and fourth Thursday of every month (excluding holidays), and are offered at no charge. Please support the Seymour Center by becoming a member or making a donation today.
