Mommas of HOT Jazz Swing kickoff event for International Women’s Month

Mommas of HOT Jazz Swing singing music from the Jazz Age Era which coincides with the ratification of the 19th Amendment. During these years women activists gained confidence, mobilized resources and built a social movement. At its peak came the entrance of the free spirited flapper, women began to take on a larger role in society and culture. The 1920s saw the emergence of singers and musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs. Bring your smiles and dancing shoes, dress for the era and join us for a roaring good time. Featured woman singers and musicians include Jen Karno, Stella D’Oro, Jeannie Liu, Lydia Joy and Breanna Rodgers. Backed by piano extraudinaire Kylan deGhetsldi and Tom Leitzke’s HOT Swing Orchestrs.
