Monterey International Blues Festival

The Monterey International Blues Festival is back for a third year at the Historic Monterey Fairgrounds, carrying on a great American and Monterey Peninsula tradition. Saturday, June 29th
will be a day filled with the best blues in the Bay Area and fun in the sun for the whole family.

Mr Sipp • Trudy Lynn • Keith Batlin • Terry Hanck • Terri Odabie • Blues at Eleven

•Mr. Sipp, The Mississippi Blues Child, is known all around the world for his immense talent
as a Blues guitarist and singer but many don’t know that he has over 20 years under his belt in
Gospel music. Mr. Sipp will bring everyone to their feet.
•Trudy Lynn is an electric blues and soul blues singer and songwriter who has performed at major festivals around the globe and has releases that earned her a No. 1 on The Billboard Blues Charts.
•Keith Batlin, a Monterey Peninsula native, offers a truly amazing range of styles and complexities with her vocals and harmonies, easily switching textures from honey/silk to smoke.
•Terry Hanck - An electric blues saxophonist, singer, songwriter and record producer, Hanck
has won a Blues Music Awards and a Living Blues Award. Living Blues writer, Lee Hildebrand has written that “Hanck is one of the most formidable saxophonists in the blues and soul business.
•Terrie Odabi is true to the blues tradition. Odabi delivers music about hard times not to bring people down, but to celebrate resilience in the face of adversity. She makes good-time music for adults, and she has clearly struck a chord.
• Blues at Eleven’s eclectic mix of blues, rock, funk, and jazz, performed by these accomplished musicians, is a sure way to ignite a crowd and make any event a huge success.

General admission tickets are available in advance for $40.00 each, through Eventbrite or $45.00 at the door. Children under 10 yrs. are free when accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Deluxe VIP Packages are also available for $125.00 through Eventbrite through June 21, 2019. VIP tickets include luxury front row seating, a “swag bag” filled with Blues memorabilia, and a special gift when you check in at the Box Office at Gate 5. One child, 10 and under admitted free ,with each ticketed adult. The Festival will be held rain or shine. No Refunds.

In 2016, a group of dedicated music and non-profit veterans came together to bring the Blues back to Monterey County. The Monterey International Blues Festival is a registered charitable corporation, with a primary goal of preserving traditions of the Blues. Proceeds are dedicated to charitable organizations using music and creativity to foster personal development and achievement for at-risk youth. Our primary recipients are Guitars Not Guns and the Salvation Army.
