For just $6 you enjoy:
- All-you-can-eat pancakes and fruit, and a side of sausage.
- Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice.
- Live performances by Shoreline Middle School, New Brighton Middle School, Harbor High, Santa Cruz High, and Soquel High bands.
Funds raised go toward:
- Music activities: Scholarships for Yosemite performance tour
- Equipment: keyboards and stands, rechargeable batteries, reeds,
drum mallets and sticks, and main amp, percussion instruments
- Instrument repairs
- Sheet music
** Please invite friends, family and music fans to this event —
If you can't make it but want to support with 6 bucks anyway, that's awfully kind: https://www.donorschoose.org/shorelinemusic
-- Our music programs need our help --
Our esteemed music teacher Caleb Murray and many volunteers have been doing a fantastic job growing the music program, helping more kids than ever learn, stay excited about, and become experienced in music, the arts, performing, and rehearsing and working together toward team goals.
But did you know that in most California public school music programs (including ours), only the music teacher’s salary is funded by the district?
- Apart from that, all instrument repairs, new instruments, support equipment, sheet music, and all costs of concerts, events and travel are funded through fundraisers or donations.
- This year, the Shoreline students will perform at over 30 events in the community and beyond. Performing out is a big part of the program!
This is why we thank YOU — our neighbors, lovers of music and the arts, supporters of better education — for your generous wishes, and your presence if you can make it to this and other community concerts and events.
THANK YOU!
