About Pigeon Point Light Station New Docent Training

Are you interested in History? Do you like sharing stories? California State Parks is looking for volunteers at the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast - the historic Pigeon Point Lighthouse! Help us share this unique coastal landmark with visitors from around the world.


New volunteer docent training class offered on 3 days - September 25th, September 26th, and October 2nd. New docents need to attend all 3 days. Upon successful completion of the Docent Training Course, docents will greet visitors, interpret the cultural and natural history of Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park, offer free guided walks of the grounds, paid guided tours of the Lighthouse Tower, and operate the Bookstore which sells educational materials and items related to the lighthouse authorized by a permanent park staff supervisor.
