Predatory Lending: A Community Conversation

Join us for a community conversation as Santa Cruz Community Ventures educates attendees on the issue of predatory lending in Watsonville, the impact it has on our residents, and what we can do to help Watsonville residents thrive. Voices from the community are welcome and encouraged in this conversation!

Attendees will learn about the results of the study Más con Más, a project of SCCV and UC Santa Cruz Blum Center. The study examines mothers’ experiences with financial providers and maps the location of alternative and traditional financial services, showing the disproportionate concentration of alternative financial services in Watsonville.
