Run by the Sea 2018

Run by the Sea returns to lovely Wilder Ranch State Park along this remarkable agricultural tract north of Santa Cruz. Run by the Sea is a unique 12K run, 4K run/walk, or half marathon that meanders along the gorgeous bluffs of the Central Coast. Most of the run is on a flat, packed dirt trail, and overlooks wild rocky shoreline. With stretches along the gorgeous bluffs, through a unique beach crossing, and use of the park trail, no other race is quite like it! Now in its sixth year, Run by the Sea is organized by and is a benefit for Bike Santa Cruz County.

Bike Santa Cruz County promotes bicycling through advocacy, education, and community building. Our goal is for people of all ages and abilities to feel comfortable using their bikes for daily trips.
