Santa Cruz County Fermentation Festival & Beer Masters Cup Homebrew Contest returns for a second year! Come and mingle with the microbes!

The Santa Cruz County Fermentation Festival is put on by community volunteers who are passionate about fermented foods, and proceeds from the festival support the Community Housing Land Trust of Santa Cruz County. The festival features a homebrew contest, live music, free tasting, live demonstrations and discussion, healthy foods and beverages in a family-friendly atmosphere.

The purpose of the festival is for commercial vendors, fermentation enthusiasts, and curious guests to come together to celebrate fermented foods and their makers; to share knowledge; and explore a wide range of fermented foods and beverages. We also strive to support community-based food production, cottage foods, artisan foods, slow food and locally-based foods.
