About Summer Baking Camp for Kids & Teens

In this hands-on series, Pastry-Chefs-In-Training will work together to cover the fundamentals of baking including: cake decorating, pastry fillings, pastry doughs, ice cream and sorbet! Chefs will learn all about healthy, delicious alternative sweeteners to refined sugar! All recipes will be low glycemic, so the kids will love the desserts without the detrimental effects of sugar highs and lows. On day 5, Chefs will apply all the principles and techniques they’ve learned in an exciting team cooking challenge to create a British Afternoon Tea. Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free friendly. Limited to 10 Pastry Chefs. Ages 10-17. Class runs 2pm-5pm M-F.


About Chef Lauren:


Lauren graduated from The California Culinary Academy and began her culinary career as a Classically Trained Pastry Chef. She went on to teach culinary school in California, after working on the East Coast and Switzerland. After being diagnosed with food allergies, Lauren found a way to convert classic recipes into healthier versions, omitting wheat, dairy and refined sugar.
