A new old radio show is debuting on KSCO. The Santa Cruz Oldies But Goodies show premiers Sunday, May 1 at 6PM on KSCO AM1080. For those who remember Santa Cruz in the Fifties, Sixties, and Seventies, the show will feature guests including Ted Whiting from the Boardwalk, Geoffrey Dunn, Jay Topping, Ross Gibson, Len Klempnauer, and Frank Lima (the Great Morgani), all local history buffs. The Oldies But Goodies show is hosted by Dick Scoppettone, native Santa Cruzan and founding member of Harpers Bizarre, the group with the Sixties hit, Feelin’ Groovy.
Call in to the show at 831 479-1080 and join this weekly walk down memory lane from Malio’s and the Boys on the Wharf to Wrigley’s and the Boardwalk, from Spivey’s Five Spot to the Mystery Spot, Alfred Hitchcock, longboards and skateboards, the Tannery and the Suntan Special.
