About Watsonville Film Festival 2016

The 5th Annual Watsonville Film Festival will present more than 40 films representing 10 countries, Sept 29 - Oct 2 at the historic Fox Theater!

Don' miss this fabulous selection of feature and short length documentary, animation, fiction and horror films — including one World premiere, a US premiere and various California & Local premieres.

More than 20 filmmakers in attendance, half of them women. Filmmakers will be attending from New York, Los Angeles, Mexico and the Bay Area.

On Opening Night (Sept 29) we will have a fabulous celebration of "Local Visions, Past & Present," honoring pioneer filmmakers George Ow & Geoffrey Dunn, along with young rising filmmakers.

Special events include a community bicycle ride (Sun. 9AM Fox Parking Lot), and live music by El Sistema Santa Cruz Youth Program (Sat 7PM) and Roots of Brazil percussion ensemble (Sun 4PM).
