Xilonen Rites of Passage Ceremony

Join the Ixtatutli/White Hawk Indian Council for their annual Xilonen rites of passage ceremony, a coming of age and honoring of young women that dates back thousands of years before the Spanish invasion. For 25 years Ixtatutli/White Hawk has committed itself to provide the youth of our community the opportunities to both learn and experience the culture and traditions of their ancestors. This is accomplished through danza, mural projects, drumming and singing, along with many other forms of artistic and cultural expression.
