About Yes, We DO Care About Teaching: Building a 21st Century Teaching Center at UCSC

In July of 2016, UCSC launched a new teaching center, the Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning (CITL). This cutting-edge center is designed to revitalize UCSC’s tradition of excellence in teaching through supporting faculty and graduate students with the resources and training to teach the students we have now with the tools available to us in the new millennium. These tools include a vast body of new research on effective teaching and learning at the post-secondary level; a wide range of educational technologies that can enhance student learning both in the classroom and beyond; and a primary commitment to equity and excellence for the diverse and vibrant student population attending UCSC in its second half-century.
Jody Greene received a B.A. degree from Yale University and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. She joined the faculty at UCSC in 1998 and is currently a Professor in the Literature Department.
