Castro Adobe Open House 2018: Luck o’ the Castros

The direct hit from 1989’s Loma Prieta earthquake should have crumbled the Castro Adobe into a cloud of dust, but more than a century of hard work, (mostly) wise decisions, and yes, luck, kept the Castro Adobe (mostly) together. Enjoy a festive atmosphere and a snack from our restored cocina along with your sneak preview of this one-of-a-kind family home as it rises again as the centerpiece of the Pájaro Valley’s very own state historic park. Event is free; limited parking (carpooling encouraged). Active construction site, open only during scheduled events like this.
