About Free Movie Night: Forks Over Knives

Forks Over Knives (2011)

In recent years numerous science-based documentaries have been made to educate the American public about what goes on within our food supply. Given that a handful of corporations control nearly everything we buy at the grocery store, its high time that we get smart and understand how these corporations are shaping our world and our bodies and our brains.

Come learn, ask questions, understand your options, get resources, get inspired!
Local Nutrition Consultant Sandi Rechenmacher will present movies and be available to answer questions about FOOD!
Stop by the New Leaf Deli beforehand and pick up something amazing to dine on and come on in to enjoy a game-changing flick.

The feature film Forks Over Knives examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.

In Forks Over Knives, we bring you the message of two pioneering researchers, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, professor emeritus of nutritional biochemistry at Cornell University and coauthor of The China Study, and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, a former worldrenowned surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic and author of Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. These men uncovered compelling evidence that many of our most serious health problems can be prevented—and oftentimes reversed—simply by changing the way we eat.
