About SIR Monthly Luncheon/Speaker Meeting

Speaker/Luncheon Meeting - Wednesday March 13th
Sons in Retirement (SIR) of Santa Cruz is hosting its monthly luncheon and invited speaker meeting at 11:30am, Wednesday March 13th at the Elks Lodge on 150 Jewell Street In Santa Cruz.
This month’s speaker is is Jack Healey, the longest tenured unpaid sportscaster in Santa Clara County history. For over two decades, Jack did the radio play-by-play for Santa Clara University football and basketball games along with some Pacific Coast League baseball. Jack will tell us how he got into this expensive hobby and why left it. He'll include the snafus and mixups that happened in the broadcast booth. Senior Slow Pitch Softball and SF Giants' Fantasy Camp will also be topics of his discussion.
A full-course buffet meal at $18 per person will precede the talk. SIR, a non-profit, non-political, non-denominational recreational group for retired or semi-retired men, hosts luncheon/speaker meetings on the second Wednesday of every month. SIR golf, bocce, poker, computer and other recreational groups meet regularly during the month. Visit sirinc2.org/branch20 or call (831) 227-4326 to attend.
