About The Angelman Syndrome Foundation (ASF) National Walk

Hundreds will gather at Jade Street Park on May 14th, 2016 to raise funds for research and services that support individuals with Angelman syndrome and their families. Angelman syndrome is a severe, neurogenetic disorder that is similar to autism and is characterized by symptoms such as developmental delays, lack of speech, seizures, and walking and balance disorders.

The Angelman Syndrome Foundation (ASF) National Walk raises funds to support the mission of the ASF, the largest non-governmental funder of Angelman syndrome research. The ASF is a national organization dedicated to advancing the awareness and treatment of Angelman syndrome through research, education and information, and support services – positively affecting the lives of more than 12 million people impacted by this and similar disorders.
