A teen handed his social worker a pipe bomb (without the pipe) yesterday at the county’s Emeline offices.
Some teens can be really stupid, like the teen who showed up at the county’s Child Protective Services and handed his social worker a pipe bomb (without the pipe), because he had to catch a flight and couldn’t take it with him on the airplane. The bomb squad was brought in and the device was detonated with no danger posed to any of the employees. All in all, the event was “very unexciting,” according to Sergeant Paul Tashiro of the Sheriff’s office. As for the boy, a 16-year-old resident of the county, he apparently missed his flight because he was arrested for possessing an explosive device. Read more at KSBW and Santa Cruz Sentinelel.
