Watsonville police have reported that someone has been passing out counterfeit bills in the city over the past few weeks. On March 26, someone passed a phony $100 note at Green Valley Cinemas and later at Carl’s Jr. One week earlier, someone made a purchase at Safeway with four fake $20 bills. Police are advising merchants to check any bills that they receive closely, and to inform them of any suspicious behavior involving suspicious money. Read more at KSBW.
